CHILD CARE
For working parents, this is the associated need --

Every community in Maryland is served by one of twelve regional child care resource and referral centers (CCR&Rs). Together, these CCR&Rs make up the Maryland Child Care Resource Network, which provides leadership and services designed to improve the quality, availability, and affordability of child care in communities across the state. That site shows child care locations and training programs for providers. This partnership is administered by the Maryland Committee for Children under a contract with the Maryland Department of Human Resources.
In that network, the Child Care Resource and Reference Center in Montgomery County (332 W. Edmonston Dr., Rockville; main phone number 301-279-1260) provides counseling to parents regarding child care. Call it for options regarding the location of child care ("LOCATE") at 301-279-1773 or visit its website. Also within the County's Department of Health and Human Services is the office of Early Childhood Services, and its website gives additional information and links. See also www.montgomerycountymd.gov/earlychildhoodservices.

Call 240-777-4769 for 0-5 child services.
